Presenting at OSCMS Summit Next Week

Friday, March 16th, 2007

I’m still recovering from an amazing week at SXSW
(more on that later), but I’m totally stoked that my proposed session on Drupal Installation Profiles made it on the Open Source CMS Summit schedule. I wish I’d known a little earlier, but I’m jumping in head first over the next week to learn the ins-and-outs.

Updating…

Monday, September 25th, 2006

It’s been quiet around these parts lately. We’ve been busy enjoying the last gasps of summer and doing a lot of traveling. Evidence via Flickr:

My 10 year class reunion
Michigan Beer Festival - Lizz and I have gone every year we’ve been together
My parents threw us an awesome engagement party
Lizzie surprised us with a visit

Flee to the Woodlands!

Saturday, July 1st, 2006

Lizz, Honey and I are joining Chris and Cheryl for a last minute log cabin retreat in the woods up state. No TV. No Internet. I’ve got a pile of books, a box full of food and kitchen supplies. Chris & Cheryl have crates of leftover booze from their housewarming party. […]

Right now and through tomorrow, I’m at DrupalCamp NYC
I’m planning to do stuff this week while Lizz is in Florida
Next weekend I’m flying out to Michigan to meet my new niece and prepare to sell my motorcycle. If you want to meet up, send me an email (scott dot trudeau at gmail dot com)
I’m […]

Zipping Upstate

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

We reserved a ZipCar to head upstate tomorrow. I’m going to hole up and get some work done while Lizz goes to a “dog friendly communities” conference on Saturday. Sunday we’re driving back. We’ll also get to check out the new ring on Erica’s finger.

Over the mountains and through Ohio…

Friday, December 23rd, 2005

Lizz, Sat and I are driving out to Michigan, leaving here shortly. We’re not 100% sure of our itinerary. We may swing out to Canton on Saturday afternoon to visit Lizz’s dad and grandparents. Saturday night we’ll be hanging with my family and probably most of Christmas day, as well. If […]

Yes, Michigan!

Tuesday, September 27th, 2005

I’m heading back to Michigan this evening. I plan to be in Ann Arbor until Saturday morning, and possibly until Sunday morning. I’ll be in the Detroit ‘burbs otherwise. If you want to grab a drink or lunch or breakfast or brunch or coffee, let me know. I fly out Sunday […]

Global Voices

Thursday, May 26th, 2005

cross-posted to the Every Country Club
I just listened to an NPR podcast called Open Source about international bloggers. One of the more interesting projects they discussed was Global Voices. It was founded by dissatisfied CNN foreign correspondent Rebecca MacKinnon, among others.
The primary mission of Global Voices is twofold: 1) To call attention to […]

Enough Conferences Already!

Monday, April 4th, 2005

Here’s one I won’t be attending: Penguicon 3.0. It’s sort of a Linux User Group meets Sci-Fi convention. I’m a big fan of Cory Doctrow, who is a guest of honor at the Con, but the content definitely skews geek-culture-heavy and technical-content-light — and I’m not enough of sci-fi/role-playing kind of guy to […]

Speaking of Conferences…

Monday, April 4th, 2005

If I wasn’t already so conferenced-out, I’d really like to attend the Grassroots Use of Technology Conference in Boston, if only to spend more time jawing with the likes of Marty Kearns, Gregory Heller and other interesting folks (and people like them) I met at the NTC. I’m increasingly interested this grassrootsy-activisty-not-for-profity space.
It’s too bad […]
