My Man-with-a-van: Albert Einstein?

Sunday, June 25th, 2006

After getting a taste of the early summer heat, we decided to spring for a window air conditioner. After all, we get to go work in air conditioned offices during the worst heat of the day, but the dog… she has to suffer through the heat all day long. Yeah, so the A/C […]

Early Summer Update

Monday, June 19th, 2006

Between starting a new job and the warm weather bringing a stream of friends to the city, I’ve been neglecting this little digital corner. So far the job is going well. I’ve built out a few projects (including my first Drupal module which I hope to release soon) and I’m waiting for them […]

Catching Up

Monday, May 29th, 2006

I’ve spent the last week mostly recovering from my previous crazy-busy birthday week (during which both Lizz and the Beast were in Florida). A quick review:
DrupalCamp weekend was a blast. I learned a lot and met some great folks. Thanks to Noel for putting it all together and Brooklyn Polytechnic for hosting. […]

10 years in 350 words or less

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

I’m going to my 10 year class reunion in July. They asked we each write a short bio of our last 10 years. Thought it’d be worth posting here:

Basic Math: When will I use that?!

Sunday, May 7th, 2006

The last two days I’ve used two basic math equations for a practical purpose — so all you middle schoolers out there, this stuff does eventually come in handy. Really.
The first was the pythagorean theorem — remember a2+b2=c2? Well, I bought a projector screen on Ebay and wanted to know how wide it […]

I bring the recording of an epic battle for the ages. Shot by Erica at our old place in Ann Arbor. Honey vs. Oscar:

Zipping Upstate

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

We reserved a ZipCar to head upstate tomorrow. I’m going to hole up and get some work done while Lizz goes to a “dog friendly communities” conference on Saturday. Sunday we’re driving back. We’ll also get to check out the new ring on Erica’s finger.

I’m an Uncle

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

Kathryn (Elizabeth?) Derderian was born today. She’s a healthy 6 lbs. 12.5 oz., 12″ baby. My mom has promised me pictures as soon as she gets home and gets them into an email. (Earlier post with ultrasound snap).
