Nutritional Yeast Salad Dressing

Gregory and Amanda both heartily recommended this recipe for salad dressing featuring nutritional yeast. I love it on my popcorn and in the occasional tofu scramble, so this sounds good to me:

Combine in a blender:

  • 1/2 cup nut’l yeast
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup soy/tamari
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 T garlic

Slowly drizzle in 1 to 1-1/2 cups sunflower oil while blending together.

I’m just going to take this moment (don’t ask how I just found this post) to reiterate how highly I recommend that dressing. It is like crack, it is so good. You’ll be looking for things to make salad out of, just so you can have some more dressing.

This is coming from someone (me) who is totally suspicious of both nutritional yeast and people who eat it.
