Heartbreaker

I never thought an apartment search could cause such intense emotional highs and lows. I found the perfect place in Brooklyn Heights — 2 blocks to the promenade, 4 blocks to a very nice dog run, and one block to the Clark St. 2/3 subway stop, a straight shot to Lizz’s work, convenient to most of the city. It was renovated a year ago, has marble bath, granite counters, nice floors and three big closets. The foyer is big enough to be a small office and the studio space is big enough to play both bedroom and living room. I am in love.

So what’s wrong, you ask? Well, in a story that’s getting a little old now, the broker mistakenly thought the building accepts dogs — it turned out to be an honest mistake, but I wasted a good days worth of time on trying to nab this place before it rented. Luckily, we confirmed this mere seconds before I handed over my non-refundable credit check fee.

I hope we see something nice again soon. The good news is, if we do find a place by November 1, we’ve got a signed release of the lease from the Landlady of Fury. New York is taxing…

And to top that off…the Landlady told Scott that we are no longer permitted (and probably never were) to use the backyard to run Honey around. The only time she goes out there is while I stand there with her to keep an eye on things. We’ve never had any problems. I’m looking forward to moving even more now.

You can look for pros and coins here. If you didn’t get this place, maybe another place will be better and maybe it is something wrong about this place. It’s just destiny and finger of the GOD. :)
